Author Joe Hill is having a very fun contest over on his blog. He's asking people to support their local independent bookstores by making a purchase, then sending him a photo or scan of the receipt to be entered into a contest to win several cool prizes. But hurry--the deadline is noon EST on March 31.
Don't know where to go in the Twin Cities to play along? Silly you. We're fortunate to have lots of options, which I covered for WCCO last winter. So do your part. Enter the contest. Buy local. Even if you don't win the contest, you'll have supported a worthy store and ended up with great reading material. That's a winning proposition, no matter how you look at it.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I'm heading to an indie bookstore in just a few hours - perfect timing.
