I should be talking about other cool things--like how the Electric Fetus has reopened, a mere week after being hit by a tornado (go check their homepage for videos taken by the security cameras, showing the windows blowing out!). But today, I am all about impatiently counting the minutes until this begins:
The Minnesota State Fair, home to all things foods-on-a-stick, is open tomorrow through Labor Day. Parades! Games! Rides! Haunted house! Radio booths! Exhibits! Animals! Water balloons! Skateboard parks!
And my personal favorite: fried cheese curds. Mmmmm, cheese curds...
If you're going with young(er) children, Minnesota Mom has a good planning checklist.
I'll be blogging about the Fair via my column on WCCO.com, Wander MN, but I'll save the food for Friday Food. Check back for all the thrills and chills!

what are the chances I can get you to try and accurately recreate the Pronto Pup at home???
Wait! don't do it - that is information I don't really need....but I sure would like access to that delicacy 365 days a year.
