I mentioned last week that I had recently taken a road trip. One of the stops on that trip was the lovely Mississippi River town of Wabasha.
Wabasha is pretty darned charming, and quite a few people were out enjoying the beautiful day, although it was by no means overcrowded. Not even at the chocolate shop where I may have purchased some rather yummy chocolate-peanut butter things. I may wish I had purchased more. Ahem.
Besides being charming, Wabasha has a large amount of seasonal spirit, of the Halloween variety.
By the river, in front of all the stores...
Festive...
Sometimes silly...
Very family friendly.
All except for this sad little pumpkin, trying to bring cheer the day after the Twins lost the playoffs.
Even Stacy's Kitchen got in on the spirit of things.
I can hardly wait to see what they do for Christmas.

It's towns like this that are the backbone of this country, I think. Thanks, Amy.
