A few fun items in news this week.
An abandoned orchard in Duluth may have a treasure trove of apples, some of which are almost extinct, that survive unusually well in Duluth's short growing season.
Roadside poetry!!! Generally, I'm not wild about billboards, but I'm more than happy to make an exception for poetry. (Way to go, Audrey!!)
And, finally, and dubiously, we made the national comics this week.

Amy, thanks so much for the plug given to Roadside Poetry. I'm not crazy about billboards either, but these are beautifully presented and are art, not advertising, the distinguishing difference.
Also, on the apple orchard discovery in Duluth and plans to make this a community orchard, I say, "Bravo." Thanks for sharing this story.
On the third link, just funny, plain funny to consider Minneapolis as a child's name. But I suppose one could shorten it to Minnie and make it work.

Not sure I would want to be called Minnie, though!
