Our trip to Austin also included a brief shopping trip in Owatonna. (Warning: I was having some camera issues, so these are not necessarily the best photos ever.)
Cabela's has an enormous (150,000 square feet) store just off the interstate. It's an outdoors sporting goods outfitter, and the Owatonna store reportedly is second only to the Mall of America for visitor traffic each year.
Inside, at the back of the store, is a huge display of stuffed animals. No, not Webkins.
Throughout the store are dozens of mounted animal heads as well.
As well as anything you could possibly need for your outdoor adventure.
Next door to Cabela's is a shop that advertises itself as the largest candy shop in the state.
A Russell Stover shop, all ready for Easter.
We did not come home with any outdoor sporting goods, but we certainly came home with chocolate. Did we choose wisely?
