Hugh Jackman - X-Men
Patrick Stewart - in almost anything
Sean Connery - but not as Bond

Happy blogiversary!

EverydaySuperGoddess

I concur on these two:

Colin Firth—Pride and Prejudice

John Cusack—High Fidelity

"And, only in this one movie, Kevin Costner in Bull Durham." (For me it's that moment when he thumbs open the garter belt. Oh, MY...)

And add the following:

Robert Redford--Out of Africa (***)
Brad Pitt--Legends of the Fall
Ray Liotta--Corinna, Corninna
Johnny Depp--Chocolat
Hugh Grant--Sense and Sensibility and Notting Hill
Ewan McGregor--Moulin Rouge
Cary Elwes--Princess Bride
Humphrey Bogart--Casablanca
Clark Gable--Gone With The Wind
And Cary Grant in any damn thing.

Also:

Johan Santana--Last August's 17-strikeout performance (http://wanna-cookie.blogspot.com/2007/08/supernatural.html)

And, yes, Nick Blackburn in last Wednesday's game.

Eve

Heath Ledger was the first to get on my heart list, because of ROAR. And I second the James McAvoy. Hamana hamana! Atonement pretty much blows though :(

debra

Happy belated..... I also will not wear purple or a red hat, and I will not take tours through the country on a Blue Bird bus. I will, however, bring pocketsful of biscuits for the Jaspers :-)
Welcome back from concussionville.
I do heart:
Johnny D--Benny and Joon, Chocolat
Richard Gere-Shall We Dance
Antonio Banderas in anything
Ben Kingsly (because he is classy)
Brad Pitt--Mr and Mrs Smith
Cary Grant --To Kill a Mockingbird

Anne

Yumm...
Robert Redford in Great Gatsby
James Marsters on Buffy (drool...)
Matthew Macfayden and Rupert Penry-Jones on MI-5
Hugh Laurie in anything
Matt Damon in Bourne series and Sarah Silverman video
Jesse Spencer (Chase) on House
Vin Diesel in XXX
And somehow... Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Kenyetta

My heart lists includes George Clooney from ER
Antonio Banderas in anything except Spy Kids(desperados was taken)

I am a knitter and dog owner
Happy Blogiversary!

Betty

Mark Harmon - NCIS
Nathon Fillion - FireFly
Lee Majors - The Big Valley (long ago! he played youngest brother Heath Cartwright)
Tom Selleck - Quigley Down Under
Adrian Paul - Highlander
Paul Gross - Due South
George Clooney - Batman & Robin
Brad Pitt - Meet Joe Black
Richard Gere - Shall We Dance

heide

I don't watch many movies, so my list won't be long.
Of course Colin Firth in P&P,
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson... I don't really know the names of the movies he's been in, they've been mostly forgettable, but he's not. Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs on the Discovery Channel. This last one may seem strange, but I find something appealing about a man who isn't too "big" to get dirty or do manual work. This is very important should your toilet back up, etc.!

Celia

My heart list: Ciaran Hinds, Persuasion; Alan Bates, King of Hearts; Alan Rickman, Sense and Sensibility; Nicolas Cage, Moonstruck; Daniel Day Lewis, The Last of the Mohicans; Jimmy Smits, NYPD Blue; Viggo Mortensen, Return of the King; Cary Grant, Charade; George Clooney, Out of Sight; Gregory Peck, Roman Holiday; Rossano Brazzi, Summertime; Denzel Washington, Mississippi Masala; Armand Assante, The Mambo Kings; William Holden, Sabrina; I could go on and on and on. Knitter with a dog and many dietary restrictions.

marie

Antonio Banderas - Desperado (and pretty much anything!)
Christopher Reeve - Somewhere in Time
Frank Langella - Dracula (1979)

And I second George Clooney in From Dusk Til Dawn

Nicole

This is tough because I don't watch all that many movies, but I've been watching a bunch of James Bond movies with a friend lately so I think I'll have to say Sean Connery. In any of the James Bond movies he was in, but Dr. No if you want a specific one.

And very, very definitely then, not now (I am way too young to have seen any of those movies when they were new).

I don't have a dog.

Gladys

I'll agree with David Tennant and add John Barrowman from Torchwood, the Dr. Who spinoff. He also has a few hot scenes with James Marsters in a couple of episodes of Torchwood.

Linda L.

Showing my age here, but hey, I was 16...

Richard Gere in An Officer And A Gentleman.

Kelly

Vin Diesel - Fast and Furious
Joaquin Phoenix - Ladder 49
Richard Gere in anything :)

Tygher Knits

Christian Slater - Pump Up the Volume
James Marsters - Torchwood
George Clooney - From Duck Til Dawn
Johnny Depp - Chocolat

Heidi

Sebastian Koch in The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen). Yay! He hasn't been mentioned by anyone else! Mine, ALL MINE!!!

I'll also take Daniel Day Lewis in The Unbearable Lightness of Being while I'm at it.

Knit, no dog, no meat raffles.

ikisti

Ewan McGregor- for Big Fish, I have always thought he was a cute, but I just fell in love with him in Big Fish.

I dont own a dog, but i do enjoy playing with them. :)

Lynne

Sam Elliott - 'Gettysburg'
Hugh Grant - 'Notting Hill'
Jeff Daniels - ' Fly Away Home'
Tom Berenger - 'Gods and Generals'
Alan Rickman - that "blue baby" thing I can't remember the name of, or anything else he's ever done except Harry Potter, in which he is distinctly NON-sexy, though great.
Patrick Swayze - 'Dirty Dancing' has already been named, drat it!
Matthew Modine - 'Wind'

That's a pretty eclectic list, I think...

5elementknitr

Steve Martin - Parenthood

Cary Grant - The Philadelphia Story

because you gotta love the guys who are not only good looking but can make you laugh when you need it most.

I do knit, but only obsessively. No dog, just a cat and a couple of monkey-boys.

Barbara

I got to see Armand Assante live on stage in Hamlet as Laertes when I was in 8th grade, (mumble) years ago. Sigh.

BunnyQueen

Nora, I am so with you on John Barrowman. Yum! And, since I apparently also have a thing for rugged cowboys, John Wayne. Oh... in True Grit (if I have to choose). And, only in this one movie, Kevin Costner in Bull Durham. That line about "I believe in" gets me every time.

As for possible prizes: I knit and I eat, but I am currently dogless (but have cats and rabbits *grin*).

Diane

George Clooney in anything.

Tanya

Hmmm, an interesting one!

Branden Frasier- School Ties
Mathew McConahey-any seriously!
Christian Slater-Pump up the volume (his voice is what puts him on my list)

olga

Ok, I have to be perverse- everyone listed pretty boys and I think I'll be the freak-
Here's me choice-
STEVE BUSCEMI!!!
Oh man, you gotta love a guy with such bad teeth! And his performance in Fargo? Classic.

Marsha

John Cusack in "Say Anything" needs to be on that list, too!

(Happy birthday to your blog!)
