The one in which I win a big prize
Thanks, everyone, for all the kind wishes and congrats! I'm pretty excited, as you might be able to tell. As a friend of mine said, that's a big "check" on the ol' life list. Next up--private dinner with John Cusack. Sorry, Kristi.
But in other big news, I won a contest over at First Things First. Today I got a box, fairly bursting at the seams. Let's take inventory:
All kinds of goodies! Crazy Aunt Purl's book, two kinds of tea, Altoids gum, suckers, and a cute little carrying case. I love this tea in particular:
I may have to keep the packaging.
And of course there is yarn:
Lots of yarn--Patons and Sugar 'n Cream. I see some Mother Bears in my future!
And some wonderful soap. This smells soooooo good:
And for all those giant shopping trips:
Thank you, Marsha!!! All in all, I feel, as one of my favorite coffee mugs says, like I am:

That is an awesome tea package. I think even gross tasting tea (which hopefully that isn't) would be neat in a package like that.
(Thanks for visiting my blog!)

You are definitely living right! Marsha sent an outstanding package. Wow. The tea packaging is quite cool.

Too cool--your book, a prize! Even Altoids gum, which seems to be in short supply all over town for some reason. I need that mug. :o)

I'm delighted to hear that you like the package! Hooray! Have you ever tried Dr. Bronner's soap before? It's actually very nice (and gets terrific ratings at the Environmental Working Group's Cosmetic Database: http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/index.php ). And I figure everyone could use a brush with this interesting packaging at least once! :)
I neglected to write a descriptive note for the package, since I thought most of the stuff was pretty self-explanatory. I'll just mention that the lollipops are from our local natural-food store (we call them "hippie-pops"--heh) and don't have corn syrup in them. Also, I included the little bag 'cause it's a great size for knitting notions and whatnot, but you should of course put whatever you want in it.

OK, I like both sayings. The big ol check mark and the princess. Have to remember those ....
although it's not pork.

I love that mug. Nice swap package! The Poet-Warrior tea is pretty nifty too.
I suppose you don't smoke or suck on that soap?

Hee hee, I love the poet warrior tea. I mean hey if they can have Emily Dickinson yarn right?

I met Marsha when she was my coffee swap buddy - she does a great job with fun packages, doesn't she?! :)

Damnitall! Why didn't I read the whole pork entry?? Oh Amy, I'm racing to the bookstore as soon as humanly possible to get my own copy. I am so enormously proud of you, my friend!! Thank you for dreamin' the dream and living it too!
