Actual knitting content

Hello! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We mostly did, other than the several hours spent trying to track down a local company willing to fill my mother's out-of-town oxygen tank. Wow. What a bunch of Grinches. We finally succeeded but--long story. Yucky.

Anyway. I've been knitting! I've knit a couple of finished items lately. First is some dishcloths to send to Debra's Cups of Kindness food-shelf benefit:

Cups of kindness

Don't know what happened to the color here--the dishcloth is actually a pale aqua. The pattern is here.

Now, I know I said I was done Christmas knitting. Boasted quite loudly about it, in fact. But then I saw this pattern and thought how it would be fun for some colleagues of mine...

Martini glass

What's a girl to do when a fun idea just presents itself to her?

Could I just get the cocktail instead???

As long as you WANT to keep gift knitting, I say no apologies needed. I love the cup of warmth cloth. The wine one is good and i know a few who'd like them too!

Thanks for the link to the martini pattern. I am SO making one of those!

How Cute!
I happen to have a few dishcloth patterns like that floating around here somewhere and am in desperate need of more dishcloths myself. A discovery made during the great cookie bake this weekend when I realized every single dishcloth sported a giant hole. I wonder if I can get Mr.M to lift the dishcloth ban?? Hmmmm

you are reminding me of a story my mom told years ago. when she was in junior high and had to take home ec, they had to embroider tea towels.

she decided to embroider champagne glasses on her tea towels.

the teacher was not amused, and my mother did not get a passing grade.

I can't wait to see them in real life, Amy! Thank you thank you thank you!

You're covering the whole beverage spectrum in dishcloth form aren't you?

We had the same oxygen issue a few years ago for my FIL - perhaps getting his service through the VA made a difference because it involved a lot of running around, but not much effort otherwise.

Those are great!!
