Oh, those clever folks over at Austenblog. They've uncovered a couple of noteworthy Jane Austen links to get your week started off just right.
First: Jane Austen shows Aretha Franklin just who, exactly, is the queen.
And for knitting content, they've found a knitblogger who is knitting a Jane Austen dress. No, really--go check it out.

I wonder, do you think cabin fever caused her to cast on that dress? Seems like quite an undertaking. I have to go back and read up on that.

Thanks so much for reminding me of the Austenblog. I had seen it ages ago, but forgot!

In an earlier post she mentions that the Jane Austen Dress and Shrug patterns are in the second Mason Dixon Knitting book, so you can see it there. Armed with the pattern title, you can look it up on Ravelry, too, where pictures are posted. (I just did that myself--it's charming! Might have to make one of those for my own nearly-four-year-old...)

I did check it out. Wow. I love the colorway too. The soft yellow is lovely and very Jane.

Not everyone can carry off that hat - good for Jane! ;)

Is there a picture of what the Jane Austen dress will look like when finished? It is intriguing (Although I have no small girls to knit for. Luckily.)
