There's been a lot of food in the past week, and next Friday is the second episode of Iron Chefettes: CSA Edition. So no fresh-cooked food this week. I will, however, leave you with my latest reading acquisition:
Bacon: A Love Story. A historical overview, sociological study, and cookbook, this slim tome has as its first chapter "On the Eighth Day, God Created Bacon" and later includes a study of the bacon blogosphere.
I think I'm in love.

Oh, yum.
BLT's for dinner tonight.

Okay, so have you had the bacon ice cream at Sonny's Crema cafe yet?

I had no idea there was a bacon blogosphere (a baconsphere?). You've opened my eyes.

(LOL) It's hilarious how popular esoteric food books have become. If I hadn't just ordered The Big Oyster: History on the Half Shell, I'd be ordering Bacon. There really is nothing like it.

Sometimes I want to weep for those poor souls who's religious beliefs bar them from the palatable pleasure that is bacon. I understand their reasoning--but, but, it's bacon!

OMG. I must have that book. Off to Amazon I go.

I so wish the book was as good as the promise of the word bacon implies.

I may have to get myself a copy of that book. Yum.

I adore bacon and of late, I'm on an applewood smoked bacon kick. While I do love the bacon I still like to hold the eggs. You can continue to eat my share of them.

I bought some Baconnaise, and it's surprisingly good. Makes my vegetarian husband very happy.
